DEBORAH ALLAN
An artist working in various mediums, often working with tin, bottle tops and textile scraps.
Drawn to the patina and texture l transform neglected objects into striking Jewellery and Talismanic Wall Hangings.
I enjoy Printmaking, especially Collographs (the Cardboard Plates attract me as much as the Prints)
I’m an analogue Photographer who loves the magic of the Darkroom.
CHRIS ALLEN (Meridian Ceramics)
Chris is a Woolwich-based potter working under the name Meridian Ceramics. Throwing primarily in porcelain and stoneware, he creates small-batch functional ceramics with an emphasis on tactile surfaces, layered glazing, and subtle variation. His work combines traditional wheel-thrown techniques with marbling and expressive glazing processes, resulting in pieces intended to be used, handled, and lived with every day in both contemporary and traditional interiors.
AMABEL BARLOW
Amabel Barlow is a local landscape artist whose oil paintings reflect a strong connection to place and a deep appreciation of both natural and built environments. Her work ranges from delicate botanical studies to more defined urban scenes, each created with careful attention to detail and mood. Through expressive colour and composition, she captures the atmosphere and emotional essence of the landscapes she paints. Amabel's painting, Talcum and Malcolm, was exhibited and sold at this year's Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition.
DEBORAH BEE
My art is not easily categorised. I have many projects running simultaneously. I represent my ideas with painting, performance, textiles, jewellery or recycling found objects as installations. I can flip between working on contemporary political issues to looking at the domestic sphere especially as I age and the new generation is coming into being.

KIRSTY BENNETT
Practical and pretty, it’s not art, but if it brings a smile when you reach for your mug or plate then my job is done.
I have lived in Plumstead for 25 years and in between a busy life as Theatre Director, Singer, Actress and Teacher and Mother.
I frantically throw to sell at local craft fairs and organise the Plumstead Community Market.
SUE BICKNELL
is an experienced artist and designer working across illustration, hand-lettering and portraiture. Her eclectic practice draws on a four-decade creative career, frequently exploring a deep love for the interplay between word and image.
NATASHA BIRD
is an artist based in London, working across sculpture, print and inclusive collaborative workshops. Current research explores re-used and naturally foraged materials, investigating ideas of flow, stagnation, digestion, repetition and their potential for production. Natasha will be showing a series of printed works, and sculptural 'fixings'.
JACQUI BRADLEY
Returning to Open Studio with a new body of work, I have been experimenting with abstract watercolour landscapes exploring the tension between intention and accident as pigment and water find their own path, often to evoke mood, light, and the emotional resonance of landscape rather than its literal form.
HOLLY T BURROWS
Holly T Burrows works in collage, print, drawn, digital and 3D. Her recent work featuring cats from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home has been longlisted in the 2026 World Illustration Awards. She co-directs Illustrators' Fair with Studio Tucktite, facilitates workshops and works with museums. She uses the creative arts to help inspire a love of wildlife and ecology helping to protect, preserve and save our environment.

Through executing a piece of Art individuals of all ages can explore & express deep emotions, process complex experiences & reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.
LEE COPP
My work explores the intersection of landscape, material, and human intervention. Through photography and ceramics, I examine places shaped by industry, erosion, and time, and find resilience and quiet beauty in overlooked environments.
Photography captures textures and traces, while hand-built ceramic vessels, wall works, and geometric forms extend this into three dimensions through ideas of architecture, containment, and memory.
Across both mediums, I reflect on transformation, endurance, and the stories places and materials carry as they change.
ANGELA COUSINS
I am a predominantly lino print artist working from my home in Plumstead. My work spans various themes, capturing landscapes I am familiar with including Dungeness, Malvern, Rome, Wiltshire and the Moray Firth, as well as locations around my home in Greenwich. My approach to printing is largely experimental where the image emerges as I cut and print the layers in the lino. I enjoy blending abstract textures and vibrant tones in the images I create.
TIM COUSINS
When not in my studio at APT, Deptford, I work on paper at home. My work on show encompasses some of this and also includes work with gouache, watercolour, acrylic and chalk. I sketch daily, particularly while on my travels. I take my sketchbook everywhere, to places from St Ives to Dungeness. My work is widely collected in Britain.
SANDRA CREASOR
Sandra creates one off pieces. Often working to commission, pet’s portraits and landscapes.
She also works in acrylics creating pieces both real and imagined.

JENNY DALBY
Jenny is a Yorkshire lass now living in the big smoke, she is inspired by nature and architecture, she uses different mediums, cyanotypes, lino and mono prints to create original pieces of art with mixed media. She believes in affordable art for everyone and finds creating very therapeutic within her hectic lifestyle.

I'm an artist and equestrian and treasure the grounded, immediate, purposeful nature of horses. With paint, I express the resonance I feel in their presence. My work lingers in these moments, not merely as an expression of affection, but as an inquiry into another being’s inner life.
CURTIS DONOVAN

Curtis’ paintings are an exploration of the underlying structure of our environment, driven by a curiosity to uncover its complexities. Curtis is deeply interested in the spirituality of architecture and space. Using a wide range of materials reflective of the multi-layered world we live in. Capturing the interplay between a variety of living forces in in energetic paintings.
ELDI DUNDEE
I'm a visual artist. My practice has morphed from painting, sculpture, installation and/or performing, to rug-making. I now make hand-tufted hand-finished rugs using 100% wool yarns. They're mainly abstract, slightly psychedelic in patterning & tend to be brightly hued. I delight in using colours that really shouldn't work together, challenging myself to make those clashes fit. I seem to favour 'in your face' designs that are loosely hung on a hand-drawn lattice, and approach design and composition from the perspective of a painter, working freehand, then un-working and reworking sections as I go until satisfied that the colours and shapes have clicked together in a harmoniously ordered chaos. The big rugs (average size 5’ x 6’) are painstakingly hand-made by me, super time consuming, yet supremely meditative, and they take anywhere from 1.5 - 6 months to finish just one rug (including the hand-serged edges).
LENA EMANUELSEN
I will have work from the past 10 years of my Architectural & Art Practice, Becoming X.
The show will include collage maps and facade drawings tracking the streets of Plumstead and Woolwich, alongside the conceptual sketches, visuals, and provocations that shaped the projects over the past decade.
To celebrate my daughter's first birthday and many other amazing women in my life, 10% of all sales will go to Womb and Bloom's Access Fund, helping families who might not otherwise afford the vital support of a doula or specialist practitioner.
FLORA FABRIS (OOAK Creation)
I make handmade stoneware inspired by Japanese aesthetics and guided by a love of simplicity, texture, and the beauty of imperfection. Through quiet forms and glazes I develop myself, I create functional pieces to be used, lived with, and enjoyed daily.
JOHN FRANKIS
John's recent work includes a number of scaled-up abstractions which build on the dynamic interplay between figuration and abstract forms to create a sense of immediacy and theatricality.
Uncomfortable within the painted plain, these biomorphic forms struggle to escape, en masse, as a deconstructed dialogic.
ADAM GOREN
Painter, printmaker, writer, activist
Art to comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable, to paraphrase Cesar Cruz.
LIZ GRIFFITHS
Liz has worked as an artist since 2017. Her work looks at place and site, and the tension between introversion and the exposing nature of showing work.
She makes mixed media work that is multilayered and visually deep, suggesting strata hiding lost memories, partially excavated.

HARPER BIZARRE ART
Sarah aka Harper Bizarre Art is a multi-disciplinary artist. Her work has been exhibited internationally and has featured in a variety of publications. She produces unique artwork, sometimes naughty, sometimes nice, sometimes both, and often thought-provoking. Her work can be an expression of everyday life with a witty and quirky edge, and a hope for justice and equality. Her artwork includes ceramics, paintings, and money art. Sarah is an advocate for the positivity of Plumstead, and local venues and themes also resonate across her work.

MADELINE HERBERT
Madeline’s ceramics take many different forms, ranging from colourful plates, sculptural candelabras to hand formed vessels.
The imagery in her work often depicts the vitality and proliferation of plant growth. She is currently exploring ways to use clay to contain, protect and irrigate plants in our overheating climate.
She is a member of Dockyard Ceramics studio and teaches courses in Tree of Life Candelabra making there.
Madeline’s work has been exhibited and sold in galleries, fairs and online.
MARIA HICKS
is a printmaker based in Eltham, making handprinted cards and prints based on original artwork — often themed around nature, seasons, and life moments. Maria works with Linocut print making. Her extensive greeting card collection is sure to bring joy to any life event, and her wall art introduces colourful patterns into homes. She works on bespoke commissions, please enquire.

JILL JONES
Now retired, in this, my experimental year, I am focusing on expanding my use of media to include the use of acrylics and clay. An eclectic collection of portraits, still life, ceramic sculpture and landscapes.
SIAN JONES
I am a ceramic artist making individual decorative and functional work. I love the warmth, history and tradition of slipware, and the richness of clay surfaces decorated with coloured slips and glazes. My ceramics are mainly hand-built and often inspired by nature, particularly in an urban setting where animals and birds have adapted to living closely alongside people.
BOZENA KRASOWSKA
is a London-based multidisciplinary artist. She works with oil and acrylic painting, creates handmade jewellery with natural stones and pearls, and practices decoupage. Her art is inspired by nature, imagination, and the poetry of everyday life. She also organizes exhibitions and cultural events that connect artists and local communities. Her work has been shown in various art spaces across London.
INSUK KWON
I’m a Korean visual artist based in the UK, working primarily with painting and miniature sculpture. My work explores vulnerability, isolation, and anxiety through surreal, personal imagery. Drawing on familiar objects and domestic scenes, I aim to express complex emotions in a way that feels intimate and relatable.

Encompassing a diverse range of mediums, including drawing and painting, my primary focus has been in the representation of the human form and its expression which I will be exhibiting a selection of. In addition, this year my artwork has taken on a line of enquiry into plants and their natural forms above and below ground. These are drawings in charcoal, pencil and ink.

RAY MARSHALL (1947 - 2018)
Ray Marshall was born in Lambeth and moved to Plumstead, in 1975, where he remained a local resident till his death in 2018. Having undertaken some formal study at Morley College, tutored by Lawrence Toynbee among others, Ray was mostly self-taught. His work covered an eclectic mix of subjects, taking inspiration from nature,
architecture, historical references, dance and music and his observation of the world around us.
His daughter Penny continues to share his original work, prints and more with new and old friends.
ESTHER PILCHER
I am a Cornish jeweller who has lived in Plumstead for 22 years but still has the heart of the ocean in my bones. Much of my work in copper enamel and mixed metals is based on nature and the sea but my love is all things colourful and joyous so the enamel lends itself to expressing that joy. All of my work is completely handmade.
MIKEY PLEDGE
Back in secondary school when I wanted to do anything but classwork, I began to teach myself the whims of how to draw.
Now I just do my own thing.
I love character design. Theres always things to be inspired by and ideas to refine.
Whatever I’m into its the love of the game and the game is my brain.

RAY RICHARDSON
was born in Woolwich Dockyard in South East London in 1964. He studied at St Martins School of Art and Goldsmiths College. He has lived and worked in London, Brussels, Paris and Chicago. He currently lives and works in S.E. London
His paintings more than just a mirror of everyday life. They are drawn from his own experience of being born, bred and from living and working in London but also beyond there. When you look at his work you don’t just have to experience it through his painting heroes from Vermeer to Rembrandt through to Hopper and Richter and all the usual suspects of art history. See it too through the minor musical language of Gil Scott Heron and Marvin Gaye or the pulp history of James Ellroy or David Mamet and the motivation of cinema and photography from Martin Scorsese, David Lynch through to William Klein.

SARAH SCHMIDT
Life is presently chaotic and as always, I turn to art to work through my entangled emotions. I left one studio and was invited to share another. So, I have been making bowls and pinch pots and decorating them meditatively. Nature is my biggest joy. Also, this year, my colleague and friend Jenny has introduced me to cyanotype. I am hooked!
KARA SIMPSON
Using a playful visual language, I create surreal, immersive environments populated by recurring unique characters, mascots and symbolic objects. Bright colours, childlike forms and surreal environments become vehicles for exploring deeper themes of craving, emotional regulation, addiction, vulnerability and escapism. Drawing from childhood imagery, consumer culture and theatrical composition, the work creates spaces that feel simultaneously comforting and psychologically unsettled whilst exploring the tensions between joy and excess.
SOPHIE STEEL
Sophie is an actor and artist who rediscovered her passion for art during the pandemic. Having moved to Plumstead 9 months earlier, she started exploring the local area and transforming what she found into graphic and intricate lino prints. Her garden shed was turned into her studio and quickly became her sanctuary during lockdown.
More recently Sophie has had less time to spend in the shed but when she can she dusts off her gouges and inks to work on an ongoing project exploring her obsession with trees.
GEMMA STEVENS (Pinkbubbles)
I am a multi-disciplined artist, who mainly works in watercolour. I have started to experiment in art dry clay creations and children's character design.
I am a Central Saint Martins graduate and had a successful face painting, painting business before the pandemic.
Painting and designing has allowed me to scratch my forever creative itch.
I am very excited to take part in open studios for the first time.
ZARA TAYLOR
The 'playing with clay' is an ongoing journey, too many projects and ideas and not enough time! I continue to hand paint or carve dishes and vessels with Chinese subjects both functional and decorative, as well as to explore glaze combinations on chawan teacups and vases. Alongside the ceramics there will also be lots of original Chinese brush paintings available.

JAKE OEHMIG VENABLES
I am 18 years old and have lived in Plumstead my whole life. I sing three times a week and paint and draw mainly in pen. I have had a commission from the Old Mill which is now on display and hope to share some of the other pieces that I have.
ALICE WAKEFIELD
Alice makes wheel-thrown and hand-built functional pottery from her studio in Woolwich Dockyard. Her pieces aim to retain the rhythm and immediacy of the making process in its fired state. Alice looks for surface with rich patina and texture often achieved by reduction firing her work in wood, soda or gas kilns.
JACK WALKER
My work is figurative paintings of common scenes of the growing up in the local area. The figures are often with abstract undertones while still trying to keep the recognisable connection to keep the viewer engaged. I tend to deal with the themes of class and class representation in the art world.
RUE WEBSTER
(They/Them) is a Textiles Print Designer based in South East London. They studied Fashion and Textiles at UCA Rochester, specialising in surface design for interiors. Their artistic style is very versatile, using both digital and physical printing techniques. Developing a love for the Cyanotype process, they create one-off pieces inspired by brutalist architecture and the natural world - focused around the areas of London and Kent and layering hand drawn buildings and organic natural elements together. Rue also makes unique Textile pouches from their surface textile designs, with lining fabrics that have been collected since 2014.
ASA WHICKER
I started experimenting with multiple different media during lockdown - particularly with lino printing, watercolour and inks. I like thinking about the places I’ve been and the animals I’ve met and bringing them to life with wild colours and a carefree hand. Come and see!
RHODA WILSON
Rhoda is a recent graduate who read English Literature at the University of Leeds and completed an art foundation diploma year at the King’s Royal Drawing School. She grew up in Plumstead and last year she fell in love with gouache for its colour and vivacity. Working in realistic and graphic fantastical styles, she aims to make inroads with illustration. This year she will be displaying her most recent ideas, with some original paintings and giclee prints for sale. If you like colour, playfulness and experimentation come over and see what she’s been up to.
STEVE WILSON
I originally studied fine art at Brighton where I did a lot of film and installation work. I then worked in tv, film and theatre as a designer and scenic artist. My artwork is mainly mixed media 2D and 3D pieces, which I collage together using original print sources, found objects and laser cut elements. Sometimes I am inspired by current events and the state of the world, other times it is just a visual manifestation of my internal monologue.

Helen creates unique and affordable statement jewellery celebrating our solar system! Handcrafted using semi-precious gemstone beads and sterling silver sourced from our own planet, each piece is designed to recognise extraordinary milestones and phenomena within our Solar System. From solar and lunar eclipses to planetary alignments and culminating in the recent Artemis II Moon mission jewellery collection. Helen's creations offer a truly unique way to wear the wonders of our universe.
